Obituary

Susan Kay Potter-Robinson, 56 of Kirksville, Missouri passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday September 14, 2020.

She was born on Monday November 4, 1963 the youngest of six children to Jack Paul Potter and Mary Ruth Warner-Potter.

Susan is preceded in death by both parents; sister, Virginia Sanders; brother, Stacey Potter and is now singing karaoke and dancing in the sky with her great niece Mary Jane Shea.

Susan is survived by her son, Matthew Robinson of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; daughter, Samantha Robinson of Kirksville, Missouri; six grandchildren, Calista Robinson, Hailey Robinson, Hunter Robinson, Gage Robinson., Sasha Fountain, Bella Fountain; former husband and friend Johnny Robinson; her strong a beloved sister, Brenda Herron of Hurdland, Missouri; brothers, Tracey Potter of Kirksville, Missouri, Jerry Hatcher and wife Pam of La Plata, Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and cousins.

Susan was a straightforward gal, she loved the King of Rock and Roll, Kessler’s, karaoke, dancing a good party. She was a bit of a hell raiser and afraid of nothing and would certainly put you in your place if she felt you needed it. She was true Elvis Presley fan and collected Elvis memorabilia. Besides Elvis, her true love was the gift of her children, grandchildren and family.

Susan enjoyed many trips with her mom and sister to boat and casino’s for entertainment and her luck at gambling. She was a lover of nature and her father taught her to fishing at an early age and her joy of fishing carried on throughout her life. Susan’s big louder than life personality was small compared to her heart, her desire to give and the compassion that she had for others.
