Obituary

Paul Leon “Joe” Shaver, 62, of Kirksville, Mo passed away at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri on Tuesday December 3, 2019 surrounded by his family. He was born June 13, 1957 the son of William and Doris (Bunch) Shaver. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, David and brother Stanley “Bub” Shaver.

Joe is survived by his two sons, Jeremy Spencer of North Carolina, Charles LaCost of Kirksville, Missouri; two grandchildren; Keagan and Addison LaCost; two brothers, Roger (Nancy) Shaver of La Plata, Missouri, Randy (Jeanne) Shaver of Brashear, Missouri; three-sisters, Mary Lene of Kirksville, Missouri, Carolyn (Lyle)Talbert of Novinger, Missouri, Brenda (Jay) Schilling of Kirksville; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Joe spent most of his life in Adair county growing up with his six siblings. His younger years were spent tormenting his sister’s especially Carolyn whom always had to look after him. Joe loved to party and have a good time. Typically, he was a very sweet, easy-going and enthusiastic social being. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, rock and roll music, his faithful pet companions, finding artifacts and hunting things with his metal detector.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at the Ringo Point Cemetery in Adair County on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 10:00am. A Celebration of Life will follow the service at “Back Roads Bar and Grill” in Brashear, Missouri.
